I have a Asus RT-AC66U router which I personally bought, and a dlink DIR865L given by my ISP which I renewed my contract. I also have a dlink VoIP router given by ISP long time ago and a modem.

How should I properly wire up the whole network?

My plan ( not sure will work):
Modem->Dlink VoIP(wireless switch off, acting like a switch)->asus router->dlink router

I am planning to make the dlink router( dir865l) a AP to the asus router and I am going to mount both router on the wall.

I am connecting a printer via a Lan cable to the network and a PC too. Where should I connect them too.

My home telephone is connected to the dlink VoIP router to provide telephony services.

As I am shifting into a new house, I will be putting Lan ports on the wall, so the plan should be final

Thank you

how much maintenance do you want to do? the answer to that question dictates how many pieces you use... if you want simple, use only the Asus router you purchased

if you need more wired network ports, then connect either of the dLink's and disable DHCP and routing and wireless (if they are)
