Network setup for Intranet and Internet via two ISPs

I am planning on upgrading my current network setup, as I will be renting another completely separate line from a second ISP (to separate office and home).

Whilst I do want to get internet from TCOM in Building 1, I would like to have internet from QUIX (another ISP) in Building 2. Additionally, I still want a local network to connect both buildings, as I have an intranet file server I want to access from both buildings.

I have drawn a network diagram, I am just not sure whether it will work as intended, and whether there is a more efficient way of doing it.

Thank you :)

If you google words such as "how to share a NAS between different networks" you will find links such as this one:

http://www.snbforums.com/threads/connect-two-networks-to-share-nas-but-keep-networks-isolated.4151/

To be honest, if I had to sit down now and do that very thing I would probably be looking some things up: mainly to find the most viable and simplest way to meet the requirement with respect to the networks involved. Perhaps some other forum member will have direct experience/knowledge to help speed up our mutual learning curve here....

In this/your situation there are a few details that need to considered. And you do understand, better than anyone else, how your network as is and as how you wish/require your network...
Does this post within this forum address your question?

Here:

Not one to "reinvent the wheel" per se and I would expect some additional questions/concerns.

But the link may help you proceed a bit....

And per another link: are you able to install a second NIC in the Intranet LocalHost Server? That is an option that may make things easier....

Thanks for your answer. Yes! I still have a couple of PCIe Slots free, so I should be able to get hold of another NIC. So with that setup, I supposed you would suggest keeping the networks completely separate, only "connecting" the two networks with the help of the Intranet Server?

Since I am using FreeNAS on that Server, is it even possible to access for example CIFS via two different static IP's from the two NICs?

Thank you!

So take a look at the link above and others as necessary. Add the IP address scheme to the "as is" diagram, and then do the same on the "wish/require" diagram. Modify that diagram to include two NICs (with applicable IPs) in the NAS. Plan your IP assignments beforehand so it will be easier to keep track of things and know what is what. Especially for troubleshooting.

Not sure about CIFS per se - have not worked with that but there are some websites .
