I RECENTLY BUY A CISCO WIRELESS ROUTER AND A 5 PORT UNMANAGEABLE SWITCH. I CONNECT THE MAIN INTERNET CABLE TO 1ST SWITCH PORT AND 2ND SWITCH PORT CONNECT TO ROUTER WAN PORT. THEN CONFIGURED THE ROUTER AND SHARE INTERNET CONNECTION AND ROUTER'S 1ST PORT CONNECT TO SWITCH'S 3RD PORT. SWITCH 4TH PORT CONNECT TO MY DESKTOP. NOW Y DESKTOP NOT ACCESS INTERNET CONNECTION. ALSO TRIED TO OBTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY. BUT NOT CONNECTED TO ROUTER.
PLEASE HELP ME.

Solution
most likely the router is getting an IP from itself.

why do you need the switch in between the devices?

for this to work properly you might need a managed switch and create two VLANs

Thanks for your reply. Actually for my bad English I not explained correctly. So I am trying to explain my question in shortly...
I have a wifi router and a unmanageable switch. i brought the switch because i do not want to give more pressure to my router. I have a desktop, a smart phone and a laptop. I am using switch because i do not want to continuously plug and unplug rj45 connector from my router. And off course if a not use laptop or smart phone then i want to turn off my router and used only switch. I have a static ip. If i using only router and connect my pc to router. then my pc get internet. and all wireless device get internet. But if i plug the main internet wire to switch and the switch's other port connected to router's internet port and a cable connected to switch and route's lan port. and another cable connected to switch and desktop computer. then my desktop pc can not received any packet.

i draw a diagram. that i configure. please see this. if configuration is wrong then resolve my configuration.
thank you very much in advance............
