So while in college due to network restrictions I connect my 360 to xbox live through network sharing with my laptop and an ethernet cable. This worked fine until yesterday when it stopped working. The only change I made was I updated my laptop with what I believe was the windows 10 anniversary update.
When I try to connect the xbox now it says it cannot connect to network. When I tried a manual IP i found online it connected to the network but not to the internet. These tests were not very consistent however.
Anyone else have this problem or a possible solution?
Thanks.

Hello!

Others will not like this idea but this is what I think and I am entitled to my own opinion.

Windows 10 anniversary update is absolute trash, it's why i'm spending £30 on fallout new vegas DLC on Xbox One because the anniversary update breaks absolutely everything.

Hoping it has been less than 10 days since you updated to the anniversary version of Windows 10, go to settings, update and security, recovery and then go back to an earlier build and just go back a version.

I hope this helps :)

I may remove the update if I cannot find another solution. RobCrezz that tutorial is for wireless network sharing however I am using an ethernet connection and I had a look at my settings and they still seem correct, thanks though.
