Network Signal Loss

I have a 100meg cable in and havce fotted a Cat5 network to moitor on-line security cameras. My signal is dropping form 1gig to 100mbs at my next conection point 50 feet away then down to 10mps at the next conectioin point. Any ideas anyone. If I had mis-wired or have a bad conection would I get any signal?

It sounds like one or more components of your wired network do not support gigabit and fast (100mb/s) Ethernet. Could be cable or adapter, switch, or any other hardware in the route.

The drop from 1gb/s to 100mb/s then to 10mb/s would be the expected result from such an issue.
