Can interference on the 2.4 G band from a microwave. bluetooth devices, and wireless handsets for the phone cause network speed to drop periodically even if the signal is strong? Or would a defective router be the only explanation for crashes from 100 Gbits/sec to 2 GBits/sec? When this happens Netflix buffers and sometimes completely stops. Yikers! I'm paying too much for all this stuff to put up with this.
(I'm using a Samsung tablet and speedtest.net to check speed and the android Wifi Analyzer app to check signal strength. There are no overlapping signals from any nearby wifi.Signal strength is about -35 dB.)
Asus RT-AC56U dual-band router
Vizio P502ui-B1E TV (has only 2.4 band)
Logitech RF remote
