Hi to all!
Can anyone help me with a doubt of mine? Here it goes:

I wanted to buy an EPSON printer to be utilized from a Linux system. But there are no drivers for Linux. (Maybe I should buy a HP instead? (which does support Linux, through HPLIP))

But the printer in question has a network interface. So what I needed to know is:
Could I plug the printer to the network; install Windows as a guest OS in a Linux host virtual machine (along with the Windows supplied drivers) and utilize (print and scan) from within the virtual machine as if it were a physical Windows machine?

Has anyone tried this?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Solution
Linux supports almost all printers in Usb without the need for manufacturer's drivers.
that said, if it is Networkable, just use it that way, the driver will load on your windows pc directly
