I have a device that has the following configurations:

IP
GATEWAY
MASK
DHCP (Checkbox)

I am connected to the device with a cable, using the following configs.

PC_LAN_BOARD__________

FIXED IPV4 = 192.168.178.1
MASK= 255.255.255.0
---------------------------

DEVICE__________

IP= 192.168.178.100
GATEWAY = 192.168.178.1
MASK= 255.255.255.0
DCHP = UNCHECKED

---------------------------

And it is working fine.
BUT, i want to connect to the device wirelessly using an access point, basically instead of connecting my pc to the device using a cable, i want to connect to the access point, and that access point is connected to the device using a cable.
And here is where i need help setting up this gig...

Thanks in advance!

Rather than an access point, what you want is a wireless bridge. You are not trying to provide WIFI to a bunch of devices (an access point) you are trying to convert from WIFI to wired (a wireless bridge). An inexpensive way to do that is to get an older Asus router, like an RT-N56 (about $20 on ebay). Asus routers have an option to be a wireless bridge built into their firmware.
