Hello, I'm making this post because I have recently had internet troubles. My problem is that both wired and wireless internet is fine for a few seconds, then it will drop, and this will continue in a loop. This makes any games unplayable and I can hardly browse the web. This is the only device in my house that has this problem.

Here are some things I've tried to resolve this problem: Reinstalled Windows, flushed dns, rebooted, troubleshooting , and reinstalled Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller.

Please help, thanks in advance.

Solution
Look in the event monitor and see if you see any error messages that happen at the same time. Because it happens both on the wifi and the ethernet it rules out many of the more common causes. It has to be some software or setting on the machine but you need a clue to what it is.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Make and model of your motherboard and/or wireless adapter? What BIOS version are you currently on for your motherboard? You should cross reference your motherboard's support page to see what the latest BIOS version is. If you have a number of updates to go through, gradually work your way to the latest, don't jump to the latest version.

You can then focus on the version for your OS(if you're on Windows 10). Then uninstall your NIC's drivers, then reinstall them with the latest drivers, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Regarding "This is the only device in my house that has this problem":

Meaning your computer - correct?

You mentioned wired and wireless - are you sure that only one network adapter is enabled on your computer?

If the suggested ( by @Lutfij ) driver update is not successful then run "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the Command Prompt.

Post the results.
