Networking with vista

I have a work laptop (running Vista business) which is on a domain that I use with a VPN link to the office, I want to sync my net book to it which is on win 7 starter, this is on my home network (3 PCs on win7 home premium and a printer in a work group) now heres the funny thing, from the work (vista) lappy I can use the printer and use files on the other home pc but not my net book, (it comes up with a password box & I dont use passwords) all of the network and sharing settings are the same on all my pcs, so why can the work lappy access all but my net book? any ideas

Are you using the same username on each machine?

thanks for that, but all of them have different names and the rest are ok.
