NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM PARAGON TECHNOLOGIES, INC!

Hi,

I just wanted to alert everyone to avoid buying anything from PARAGON TECHNOLOGIES, INC (www.paragoncomp.com)!!! Even if what your buying is 1/2 the normal price, dont do it!! I took a chance and ordered a 1.2 G Thunderbird from them, which they didnt have in stock. I cancelled my order literally 45 minutes after it was placed, when I was made aware of this fact. They proceeded to charge my credit card (american express - due monthly) after I received a cancellation confirmation email from their sales department.

Its been two months now, they wont respond to my emails,or phone calls and the charge hasnt been removed from my account. Now I have to go through the NIGHTMARE of fighting this charge with American Express!!!

I have used a number of other online vendors who are excellent and have either the same, or better prices, than Paragon.

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!

I bought a box of Hard Drives, Sound/Modems, and Video Cards from Comp-Recycle. Everything except the video cards were bad, they would't answer my phone calls, and they would not return my money!

The good thing about the net is that it's relativly unregulated. The bad thing is that it's relativly unregulated.
Some of these online vendors are just trying to con people. It's getting [-peep-] ridiculous. I have had similiar problems with online vendors.
My only suggestion is research the vendor before you buy. Get plastic that protects against online fraud.

There's a good site that rates and lists customer reviews of online vendors. It's pretty accurate if you get enough comments.

I just looked up Paragon. 92 voters gave them a rating of 2 out of 7. The few comments I looked at are similar to yours.

Just to let you know of a reputable dealer, just go to monarchcomputer.com. Great people down there. No I dont work for them. Try them out.

I live about 30 miles away from Paragon Technologies, so I wanted to order something that they had for cheap on PriceWatch and pick it up. After I called them, they told me that they didn't have the processor I wanted in stock. So I asked about a motherboard they advertised, and they didn't have it in stock either. So I asked them what they DO have in stock, and they said that they "don't stock anything they list on PriceWatch." So if you actually want to receive your order from Paragon in a timely fashion, good luck.
