Never seen this before

When I click on my computer, or control panel, nothing shows up apart from this, tried googling the problem but results were irrelevant nomatter how much I tweaked search results, help pls boys

I've used windows 7 for the past 6 years and never seen this issue, anyone know what it's called?

Have you tried reinstalling Windows? Restart? Have you tried Windows repair option?

Reinstalling windows is probably a last resort, as I have a 10k word thesis in for 3 weeks

Try booting in safe mode and opening up the control panel.
