New 1060 Black Screen Startup

I just bought a new 1060 6GB graphics card. When I installed it, I had gotten a black screen upon startup. See, I'm pretty sure the driver isn't installed but when I go to install it, it does a system scan and says that there is no GeForce card detected- when I can't even put the card into my system. I don't know what to do.
