Will this newly announced GPU. From what I can tell it will be cheaper than the 1070, but I don't exactly get why. Thanks for any help in advance.

Solution
MSRP of a 1070 is $400, but due to the mining craze they generally retail for higher than that. 1070 Ti MSRP will be $429, placing it in between the 1070 and 1080 in terms of price (which is exactly where its performance will be too).

Miners will also most likely pick up all of the 1070 Ti's at MSRP until the price is up to (what my guess is) ~$460-500, which puts it right up there in price with the 1080.
I highly doubt it will be cheaper and it will probably be very hard to find. Due to mining I am sure that the 1070 ti will be a miners dream cause it has low power consumption and GDDR5 memory.

But no one knows for sure until it is released. Right now, the better value is getting a 1080 because its prices have not been inflated from mining.
