Hello, Ive been looking to upgrade my monitor since I built this new PC a while back, currently both my monitors are 1080p and 60hz. I'm fine with 1080p and I cant really have one larger than 24 inches, so I was hoping to find a high refresh rate monitor at 1080p. For some reason all the ones I've found aren't produced anymore and seem expensive from people reselling them. I also am not sure if I need gsync, as I understand it gsync will prevent screen tearing? I was considering this monitor

As it's in my price range and seems to have good reviews. However it doesnt have gsync. Will I have problems with tearing when I try to play at higher frame rates and all that? PC has a 4690k and a gtx 1070 so I think at 1080p I should be ok as far as pushing it.

The ROG SWIFT PG248Q also seems good but I can't find it new, at least at the price I believe it sold for new. I think there is a refurbished one on Newegg but I'm not sure how good refurbished products are.

I would appreciate any input or suggestions, I'm sort of new to going past 60hz. Im mostly just looking to eliminate blurring and having really smooth gameplay.

If you want to stay at 1080p, I would at the minimum get a monitor with 144Hz refresh rate. 144Hz makes everything look more fluent.

G-sync is debatable. It is an expensive piece of tech, so it will really be up to you. If you can afford it, then go for it.
