Hello everybody,

I have been trying to build a new developer machine. Suggestions and opinions requested.

Approximate purchase date:Next two weeks

System usage : Programming

Typical softwares that will be running all the time: Java, Eclipse IDE, Dreamweaver 5.5, Firefox, Chrome with 5 to 6 tabs each, Filezilla, Outlook, Cobian backup 10, Skype, Bit Defender total security 2012, Freemind, Adobe reader, Mysql workbench, Dropbox, Evernote, Windows media player, apache, mysql

Budget : Around $1100

Parts not required: OS, Optical drive, Keyboard and Mouse

Preferred website(s) for parts: doesn't matter, I live outside the US. Will be buying from a local store.

Country: India

Parts preference: Intel

Overclocking: Not sure

SLI or crossfire: Not sure

Monitor resolution: 2 x 1920x1080

Additional comments: This machine is going to be a developer machine . Will be used solely for development. No gaming. Movies/Videos watching - sometimes

Questions : 1. Overclocking - Z77 or H77. Should I go for a overclocking processor, mobo or a non overclocking one, given my needs? I will be spending long hours on code. I want the machine to be absolutely stable and not conk off suddenly due to overclocking. I do want this machine to run around 5 years if possible, before I replace it with a new one.

2. RAM - Should I go for 8 gb memory or 16 gb. Currently I am leaning for 8gb as I am running the same software's on a 1 year old system with core i5 2500k, Asus P8P67 and most of the time the memmory is at 35%?
