Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any
Location: Vancouver Canada
Parts Preferences: I would prefer the build to revolve around these 3 parts:
CASE: Thermaltake Core P3 ATX Mid Tower Case
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB ram (any)
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62/X72
Overclocking: No
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: Need to buy QHD (2560 * 1440P) , 120Hz+ Monitor
Additional Comments:
First time building a brand-new PC. Current PC is over 6 years old. Looking to run most games on 1440p 120Hz+ along with light 2D Autocad work. Also require a capability of using premiere pro & streaming on twitch.
Current list of parts for the build
(Work in Progress):
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x 3.6 GHZ 8-Core Processor (Looked around and this seemed like the most viable option to game at 1440p 120Hz+. Would It it be worth it to get to 3900x?)
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 Liquid CPU Cooler (Since I won’t be overclocking, is getting the 3 fan NZXT Kraken X72 not worth it? Would like clarification on temps.)
Motherboard: Asus PRIME X570-PRO ATX AM4 (This mobo is a placeholder and I’m looking for recommendations. Preferably 200-300 USD range)
Memory: G. Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (Any recommendations regarding what size ram I should be getting would be appreciated since 16GB might be enough for what I’m using the PC for, but I’m putting 32GB in to be safe.)
Storage 1: Boot: Samsung 860 Evo 500GB 2.5 SSD (Would it be worth it to look into a M.2 SSD for boot?)
Storage 2: Storage: Seagate barracuda 4 TB 3.5 5400 RPM Internal Drive (is using this as a gaming storage effective or should I just purchase another SSD?)
Video Card: MSI GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB GAMING X TRIO Video card (Need brand recommendations here as it usually comes to available supply. I’ve always used MSI GPUs so I’m putting in this one as a placeholder.)
Case: Thermaltake Core P3 ATX Mid Tower Case (ultimately looking to wall-mount the PC and be able to easily swap out parts & RGB. This seemed like the correct choice.)
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (Placeholder. need recommendations here on a decent Semi or Fully Modular PSU.)
OS: Windows 10
Monitor: Currently an afterthought and once the PC comes together I will research what exact monitor I will get. Any recommendations on a 1440P 120Hz+ would be helpful.
