Hi folks!

CCL failed to send a Dell U2414h (I think that's right..) that was in the clearance... so I'm looking now at an HP es24, maybe second hand. It seems like a good deal - but maybe it doesn't have the ability to swivel to vertical position which I hear is nice for web / blog editing (?)

Are there any monitors around £150 that have nice clear text, but are decent for casual gaming / watching movies?

I suppose I do care about my eyes and if the screen displays text well a little more than the movie video quality etc, but I like the look of this HP for the money.

I guess it'd be useful to know how the Dell U2414h compares to the HP 24ES

Here's the HP

Comparison site gives this :

But I've no idea how accurate that is. Thanks

Edit: wanted to put in, I was also considering the Dell u2412M, second hand, but it looks quite dated and blocky now. My room is being decorated sort of silver / grey / orange so a silver screen suits better.

Solution
DELL U2414H is lot more accurate in color reproduction and greater contrast. I think it is worth it but I don't wanna push your budget if it is inconvenient. For me DELL U2414H is worth it.

DELL U2412H is a no go.
Thanks - I would have had one for cheap if CCL and DPD had been competent but they took over two weeks to deliver and never made it to my door. They only had one at that price so the search continues...
