Hey everyone,

Looking for some help picking a Monitor. Trying to decide between the Samsung 28" 4k (U28E590D) vs. Samsung 28" 4K (LU28H750UQNXZA) vs BENQ 28" 4k (EL2870U)

I also saw the Samsung 32" 4K (LU32J590UQNXZA) is on for the same price as the (LU28H750UQNXZA)

I have a 1080ti powering the monitors and mostly do financial work and like the screen space with some gaming.

Thanks so much for your time

Those are great and will work fine. But they are free sync. Free sync is a feature that matches your monitor refresh rate with your GPU fps output. Free sync works only on AMD GPUs and Nvidia GPUs only work with gsync. They do the same thing, but gsync cost more. They make your game play very smooth with no lag. Gsync is nice to have, but not mandatory.

Here is the cheapest ultrawide gsync monitor I could find in CA and it checks all the right boxes.

Have you considered an ultrawide? I do a lot of work on my system and I have an ultrawide and love it. It has a lot of real estate where multiple web pages and spreadsheets open on the same screen. And they are a dream to game on.

I dont know your budget, but this is a decent budget ultrawide. It is 3440x1440p. While it does not have as many pixels as 4k, it is a good bit more than 1080p. It is considered 2.5k and is perfect for a 1080ti for gaming.

Do you think this would be a better choice than getting two of the 28"? Would a bigger curved screen like the 49" be the best option?

I keep seeing this as I am searching

A 34” ultra wide is like have 2 27” monitors together with no bezel. It’s much better than dual monitors.

28” is also a little small for 4K due to pixel density. For 4K I would look for 32” or it will be hard to see.

I have not used a 49”, but I think it may be a bit much. But I could be wrong. Plus, you will only get 1080p out of that and 1440p looks really nice.
