aren't they basically the same thing? rather if you want to use DP cable from the monitor or buying a new one.
They are same DP cable right? unless the version are different.

Normally it's best to get a new one, either DP 1.2 or DP 1.4.

The ones they ship with the monitors aren't normally the best or the newest.

Had issues with the one that came with my monitor, reduced performance.

Changed it to my other one I was using and it went back to normal.

If it's 144hz you want DP. Most come with it. You have to turn 144hz on inside windows.
