Question New 3060 has dropped half its FPS just a few days after installing it ?

Hello,

So I have recently upgraded my GPU from a 1060 3gb to a 3060 12gb.

The first few days it worked fine (getting around 60 FPS on Cyberpunk, 2k with the GeForce Experience settings on performance and Raytracing reflections enabled) but after 2 - 3 days, the FPS was cut by half and I've even starting seeing stuttering in games like league of legends which it should have no issue running.

I manually updated the drivers (from the Nvidia website since GeForce experience wasn't able to) the day of the install and I have not changed anything in these past few days that would affect performance.

After going through multiple forums threads I think there may be a bottleneck somewhere but what stumps me is that performance was fine those first few days.

Here's the specs:

MBD : MSI B360 Gaming plus
GPU : RTX 3060 12GB
CPU : I5 8500
RAM : Ballistic Sports 2x8gb 2400mhz
PSU : Excelvan 600w

I plan on upgrading the RAM and PSU but if the issue is indeed the hardware then why was the performance on point those first few days?

Any input would be much appreciated!

It’s probably the power supply can’t handle it. These no-name brands are not reliable and usually can’t hack the work necessary to run a beefy video card
