Hey everyone, I just FINALLY got my first build up and running and Win 7 installed. Posting from it now.
Anyway, I am very paranoid that I did not put the right amount of thermal paste and such (about a rice grain sized, again, paranoid...) I am using the Hyper 212 EVO.
I have been running stock speeds at the moment, no OC. I have been running a Prime95 Blend Torture test for the past 20 min or so. It is giving it a 100% load and saying (for some reason) that each core is running at a little over 3.7ghz (I guess that's the auto turbo boost?)
Anyway, for over 20 min of torture test I have my peak temp on ANY core as 58 C. Again, this is a 100% load test for over 20 min. Most of the time it's been in the low to mid 50s, but every once in a while it peaks to around 58. My exact peaks are 56 58 58 57.
Is that a good temperature reading for a prime95 test?
