New 3D monitor

I have been interested in getting a new 3D monitor but I don't know which to get.
Passive or active - I have no idea which is better and thus which one to buy.
I will be using tridef 3D with a radeon hd 6870 MSI OC edition so it must be compatible there.
My budget is around £150 but I could probably push it to £200 max

Go with "LG D2343P-BN"

it has good Reviews ....better than AOC

With AMD HD3D, and Samsung dropping their active 3D monitors, you pretty much have no choice but to go passive now, unless you get Nvidia 3D Vision.

Has anyone actually used this monitor or any LG passive monitors and can confirm the 3D is good

I've heard two different things from those on the forums. 1) if you play games that have text, passive 3D makes it awful to read. 2) there is no flickering or crosstalk, though I'm not sure about light bleed. Some like it, some don't.

That monitor is passive. Passive monitors have those characteristics. They also run at 1920x540, which is partly why the above is true.

As I said, those are what I read about passive monitors. I have no idea about how good that particular 3D monitor is, only that passive 3d monitors run at 1920x540, have hard to read text, but on the good side, they do not have flickering glasses or crosstalk (light bleed is likely in high contrast areas still, but not sure).
