New 3TB HDD showing as 2 drives

I've just built my first system. I have three internal hard drives; I used a 250GB SSD for my C: drive. I added a 1TB drive that I liberated from an old Dell system [E:] just because it seemed a waste to toss a good HDD. I also purchased a new 3TB HDD drive. Initially it was only showing as 18GB [D:], and that had an empty file "recovery" in it the rest of the disk was unformatted. I formatted the rest of the disk and now it's showing as it's own drive [H:]. I'd like to combine D: and H: so that it's all one drive but I'm at a loss how to do it. The initial part of the #TB drive that was formatted was Fat32. I've formatted the 18GB to NTSB as well as the remainder of the drive but they're showing separate and I can't figure out how to remove the partition and combine them. I don't mind a partitioned drive but an 18GB partition is silly.

Thanks in advance.
