The one problem I'm having, is knowing what cables still need to go in. There's a 24 pin EATXPWR cable that goes from my PSU to the Mobo, but there's also an 8 pin and 4 pin 12V-1 and 12V-2... Do I need to use these? Also theres a molex connector coming off of my smaller cables, for LED's etc (the tiny ones) do I need to use an adapter and plug that into anything too?? Also my Maximus VI has an EZ plug, do I need to attach a connector to power the PCI VGA slots? Can ad more discription if needs be. Have it open right next to me.

Parts;
4770k
Samsung 840 Pro SSD
WD 3TB HDD
2X8GB Corsair Vengeance PRO 9-9-9-24 1600Mhz
Pioneer 12x blue ray
Phantex CPU cooler (not installed yet)
OZC 1000W 80 Gold ZX

I've also read on the Phanteks manual that you add a pea sized drop onto the CPU and just put it on.. Don't need to spread it or anything? XD

Solution
Use 8 pin next to the cpu socket as without this yr pc won't boot. Plug molex connector into molex connector on yr powersupply (no adapters needed). The EZ Plug is only needed if yr going down SLI/Crossfire route. My opinion, whilst its *opened* next to you, connect it as it saves you the time doing it later on.

My PSU doesn't have Molex port, so I have to use some extra useless cabling to use the adapter, and just use the 8pin slot and plug that into the PSU, does this mean then that that power connector is for the CPU 100%?

If your talking about the 8pin connector coming from the psu, then yes. It is soley used for the cpu, without it, pc will not boot.

Sorry, yeah I have specific CPU ports on my PSU, so does that mean the 8 + 4 pin connecters on my mobo would be for the CPU?

Ahh, makes sense :) so many cables left that's why I'm worrying so much xD do I stillneed to plug in the Molex cable? it splits off the LED 's etc from the front panel of my case... Cant tell if it's for power or what... xD atm using a tied up cable to use its adapter to plug into PSU but I don't know if it's right, lost the case manual (thermaltake overseer RX-I snow edition)

And thanks bro ^_^ going to save up and buy a 780 in the near future after the IGPU gets boring

AHH makes sense now :) In which case I wont bother for the moment :) thanks dude ! What about my phanteks thermal paste? they say a pea sized drop and then just plop it on, no need to spread it?

I put a pea size in middle and then place the heatsink on top with a gentle pressure and slide it very little side too side top to bottom to evenly spread the paste and release any air bubbles trapped.

Ahh yeah very sensible, I'm gonna get hold of an OS and start to finish it all tomorrow, will post further questions then or if anyone has any advice please share it... First build :)
