New 4k Monitor Glitching Up

Just bought a new monitor but I'm having an issue where if the resolution is changed in game, or when I go full screen, open a game etc. the screen goes a solid colour and won't change back until the PC is restarted, I've also noticed graphical issues when v-sync is enabled

Graphical issues and artifacting are usually caused by faulty VRAM. Time to talk to the manufacturer and see about an RMA.

If that's actually the issue then I'm fine, this is just an old backup card I'm using until my main card is RMAd

Is there anything else that could be causing it just in case?

Could be lotsa little stuff. Too high of an overclock, not enough voltage, bad cable, but most likely, faulty VRAM.
