Looking to build a machine to run WoW at or near max settings, and run household applications including light picture editing (croping, darkening, etc, not major photoshopping projects).

Hoping to pull the trigger on something shortly, and I wasn't able to find a prebuilt machine in my price point that I was convinced would preform well.

Hoping you can provide some tips or direction as to the viability of this build as well as the likelyhood that someone who hasn't built a machine in over 12 years would be able to assemble without flames or electrocution involved :)

Any and all pieces could be switched to better pieces, however would like to get a group of components that all work well together. Would consider a prebuilt system if you know of one out there that would run the game at a high level, along with the other applications, and is within my price range.

Thanks for looking

Should have noted OS. Will be installing XP initially (transferring license from current machine which will be retired to new desktop)and possibly buying a copy of windows 7 to upgrade in the future though wives work at discounted pricing (unsure of what the cost of that would be)

Is that processor compatable with the proposed motherboard or would that part of the build need to be adjusted?

Thanks!
