No doubt about what Wuzy just said. Sacrifce on your case for now and get teh best parts that you can for the system. Get a good looking case later. You will not only need a high quality PSU, but also one that is capable of keeping up with todays needs. DO NOT BUY A GENERIC. Plan on spending somewhere in the range of $60.00 - $80.00 on a PSU. Fortron and Sparkle are going to be your best fit. The Fortron will stand up next to almost any other and it is priced extremely well. I have seen crap PSU's sell for more than Fortron. Need to probbably get 400W as a minimum. Dont get a case that has a PSU already with it unless you know the brand PSU that it has. You can find cases dirt cheap that will get you by for now. I saw one on Newegg today that is in their clearence section for $10.00. Nothing great, but that is cheap. Also is you have some fans from your old system that will work then use them in the new one if you can. Im just tryiing to help you cut corners. You may also look at some barebones systems just to see what is out there. The thing that will kick you butt on this project will be software. Like Windows. Are you a Student by any chance? Big discounts for students you know.
