I am considering an ASUS A78M-E FM2+, as my first choice, and a Gigabyte GA-F2A58M-HD2(or GIGABYTE GA-F2A58M-DS2) as my second.

I would also like to consider an MSI A55M-E35, but that seems risky, as the 7600 was not supported in the initial BIOS revision, and I have heard of posting problems with new Kaveri builds.

According to Gigabyte's compatibility chart, it is compatible since the first revision, so I think that is the safest option.

The Asus is compatible since revision 0408, but that is only this last December!

So, I have no real way of knowing whether it will post with the APU, at least long enough to update the BIOS.

I have discrete graphics, in case that may help, but I have no other FM2 CPU with which to flash the BIOS, in case that is needed.

I intended to buy from Newegg, but I would like to get confirmation of compatibility, if at all possible.

Thanks.

Because, it is an alternate build - like a lot of people, I have more than one PC in the house, for different purposes, and to accommodate different users.

This is for a relatively silent, low power build, that will be general purpose, but capable of casual gaming duties.

Edit: I already have the CPU, and returning it is not an option, so I need a solution, not advice on an alternate build.
