Question New Acer Laptop - - - when we connected it to the internet for the first time the Microsoft Edge Homepage was in Russian ?

Greetings to all,
My mother has recently purchased a new Windows 11 Acer Laptop from Argos.

When we connected it to the internet for the first time the Microsoft Edge Homepage was in Russian.

I'm now concerned for my Mum's on-line safety, has anyone else had a similar experience?

I'm planning on doing a factory restore, is there anything else I should do?

Argos is a store in....Britain?
Was this bought online or in the store?

I'd consider taking it back.

One thing you could do is run CrystalDiskInfo, and see if the Power On Hours for the hard drive line up with the usage since you bought it.
