Hello,this computer is opened in my husband's name and he no longer lives here.I am trying to put all control in my name to be able to add or remove programs,update etc...can you please guide me

click the windows logo, then right click my computer and go to 'manage' within there should be 'users and groups' tab. within there should be 'local users and groups' then open up the administrators part. click add, then type in your username.

We would need the details of the separation before helping... Who cheated on who, etc...

Login in as him and then go to:

Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Manage Another Account -> Click on your account -> Change the account type -> Select Administrator and then click on Change Account Type.
