I'm attempting to bench test my new am5 build.

gigabyte aorus b650 elite ax
AMD 7600x (with deepcool ak500 cooler)
2x16 gskill trident z5 in A2 and B2
corsair cx750m
gigabyte eagle rx6650xt
crucial p5plus 1000gb

Ive tried with and without the SSD installed, ive checked and rechecked the cables insertion, double checked the cpu installation, one ram stick at a time. I am at a loss.

Also, Ive tried without the gpu installed with the same result. quick flash, then nothing.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

AM5 doesn't use xmp timings as such, rather it uses them as a base model. After a full power off, when you first start up the pc, the bios runs a memory training. It's basically hunting for the best ram settings it can apply, like an Auto OC. It'll pick some timings, reboot, see if they are viable, try some new ones etc. It might go through 3 or 4 reboots before it likes the ram timings and can take several minutes for everything to officially startup and get a screen.
