Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I’m having some trouble with my new AM5 build. I’ve been stuck at the orange DRAM light.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D
Asus Rog Strix X670E A Gaming
Rog Strix 3090 OC
Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 2x16gb 6000mhz
Samsung 990 Pro 2tb
Seasonic Prime TX-1000 titanium
NZXT Z73

I’ve updated the BIOS, tried different versions etc. Swapped out the RAM for my corsair ddr5 and still no luck. I waited awhile too for the memory training too, but still nothing. Hoping it was the case since it worked for everyone else too.

Please help with any recommendations, thanks.

Do you think i should get the motherboard replaced or just get different one? I’m leaning towards maybe getting an MSI, but i wanna keep the asus since its white and there arent a lot of options for that. Just dont want the same thing to happen tho.

The 7000-series CPUs now have video on-board.
I was thinking if new high-end Ryzen chips have iGPU or not. 🤔 I remember reading something about it somewhere. AMD is making it quite murky to understand what is what as of late. Used to be simple, G-suffix or not.

But yeah, trying without GPU is also one option, that might help. This would tell if dedicated GPU is at fault.

I thought the same (whole G-series thing) until I built my Ryzen 9 7950X rig. Now I know.
