Ok, so I have most of the parts on the way (or received them already), but I am running into some problems tech wise, and given it is my first build, I just really want to make sure I am going about all of this the right way. Here is what the build looks like so far (with parts in their respective boxes on my floor or on the way)...

Sony Optiaric Optical Drive - $33

And an Xigmatek s1283 Rifle for $29 after rebate, found here...

Now, here is the problem. It looks as if I can ONLY mount the cooler in a fashion that blows the air up or down, which really doesn't seem to matter given I have the massive 200mm fan at the top of the case to blow that air out (Maybe I am wrong, again, first build, let me know if I say anything that doesn't make sense!), but the main problem is that in that orientation, I think I am going to lose a memory slot or two, and given I want to run 8GB of this memory...

That won't work! Now, is their any other way to mount this cooler, or, should I just order the V8, as the Xigmatec will be $29 after rebate, but a new retention bracket (do I need one?) will be another $10 or so with shipping, which is very close to the v8 price on Newegg of $44 currently, which includes the bracket if I am thinking correctly...

I also hear it is better, includign from Frostys website, and looks much better as well. Again, brand new build, and really lost/concerned about this part of the build. Please help if you can!

I would recommend the Corsair H50 liqid cooling kit. It's great if you have never looked into liquid cooling, is cheaper than a lot of air coolers and also does a considerably better job!

Thanks for the input so far! As cool as Liquid cooling would be, not quite ready for that step yet, but thanks for the idea! As to the other two suggestions, between the V8 and the Sunbeam, do both come with the proper kit to 1) mount the cooler to the board securely and in the right orientation to blow air out the back of the case, and 2) will both NOT cover my ram slots on the M4A79XTD?

Ok, so I have decided to return the Xigmatek, as it lacks the mounting kit, and covers my ram slots. So that leaves the Sunbeam, which also lacks the mounting kit, or the V8 which doesn't. According to Frosty's, they are about the same performance wise, and I can get both for roughly the same price. What do you guys think? I am leaving towards the V8 as I think it looks a little better, and seems to fit the AM3 board a little better from the research I have done, but still not sure, as I cannot find weather the Sunbeam will give me similar mounting issues as the Xigmatek on an Am3 board. I'm just not sure either way yet.
