new and just now installed HP laserjet 1136M cannot Copy and scan ?

HI

I have just now installed new HP laserjet 1136M printer .After installation , the printer automatically printed a page and i printed a test page and it is printing well.

But i thought to try copying and scanning functions of the printer and i tried copying and scanning some papers but its not at all copying or scanning ..

it gives a black empty sheet with a single black line(line is not complete) at the border of the page

what might be the issue ?

You may have the paper upside down or you are did not read the full instructions for setting it up, maybe there is something left you have to remove.

So it does do a scan or copy just does not come out the way it should correct?
