the g3258 in a more powerfull cpu at it price point then the amd apu. you could for the same money drop in an i3 cpu that are 99.00. power supply is under sized. the 550 will let him add a gpu latter on if needed.

I should of mentioned this, but it is for my grandmother and I'm sure she won't upgrade it later on. I don't want her to have to deal with the problems associated with graphics cards.

It all looks good. No reason to get a graphics card or anything like that unless your grandmother plans on gaming.

I'd get the APU, cheap, effective and is pretty powerful considering it's price.

the intel cpu also have video cards built into them so the g3258 is just a good at web browsing as the apu. the intel cpu going to run cooler then the apu.
