New architecture or intel

I collected 600 USD for my gaming PC and i cant afford more should my pc be based on intel i5 cpu or should i wait for amd ( i really like amd) zen architecture which will be focused more on per core performance rather then number of cores? I plan to do gaming 8 hours min a day. Tnx in advance.

I honestly can't give you an answer for that, because I simply do not know. Zen could be great, or it could be a shambles. All I do know is that the 4460 is available right now at a great price, and it is a great CPU for gaming.

hmm. a min of 8 hrs per day for gaming.
have you considered getting a job? so that you can afford an i5 outright? maybe a job that uses up 8 hrs a day of your life?

i would lean on intel for performance, and amd for value / bang-for-buck.
