New Asus 970 gtx will not display monitor signal. I'm wondering if I got a lemon or if its my computer. Also , a few months ago I asked a question here when my sli 560 to setup stopped working because one card broke. I'm starting to think my computer can't recognize cards after that incident and I highly doubt this new card is faulty

Also I've reset CMOS a few times by moving the jumper nobs and I've put on my old card after this problem and it still works. So any help is greatly appreciated.

New update when I use my VGA cable the monitor works but my dvi won't. So if I plug both monitors nothing works , if I plug my dvi it doesn't work but if I plug in my VGA into a dvi adapter into the video card it works

Update: reset my cmos and tried so many cables a bunch of times. For some reason the video card will not recognize my regular DVI cable but will work with a converted VGA to DVI. I'm not sure why . But my computer is up and running. I also can't use dual monitors as one of the connectors is not working.

I have this exact problem with the same mobo and graphics card. DVI will not work as of today. RMAing it for refund and getting the Gigabyte G1 970, but I'm curious if anyone has the answer to this problem.

Problems seem to be when j reset or restart the computer, also use drivers through nvidia experince and not download your self.

My new one was the same as old one when I Restart or reset psu pull out ac cord.

You realize that you can only use the DVI-I for your VGA adapter. The VGA adapter requires analog source. The "DVI" under the HDMI is DVI-I and is the correct port for your VGA adapter. The other "DVI" is DVI-D, which is a digital source only. DVI-D is for digital monitors only. The DVI-I is analog and digital combined, so it will work for either analog or digital monitors.

Here are a couple of sites that discuss this topic.
