[SOLVED] New ASUS MB doesn't start

Hi!
I built a new PC:
1. MB: ASUS PRIME B760-PLUS (new),
2. CPU: Intel i7 12700KF (ASUS QVL confirms compatibility) (new),
3. RAM: Kingston Fury Beast KF556C40BB-32 (ASUS QVL confirms compatibility, but pcpartpicker.com does not) (new) / Silicon Power DDR5 UDIMM SP032GBLVU480F02 (pcpartpicker.com confirms compatibility, but ASUS QVL has not tested) (new),
4. CPU cooler: Deepcool AK500 (new),
5. VGA: ASUS GeForce GT 1030 GT1030-SL-2G-BRK (new),
6. PSU: Thermaltake 750W (working, tested).

What happened (after turning the power on):
1. All fans work fine (1 CPU fan + 4 case fans),
1. No signal on the monitor (the monitor detects low current, but does not receive a signal),
2. The built-in speaker does not make any sounds,
3. The POWER ON LED is blinking.

What I did:
1. Checked all connections - nothing changed.
2. Disassembled, inspected all parts and contacts with a digital microscope for damage - no damage, reassembled (everything correctly, carefully), checked the connections - nothing changed,
3. Tried inserting RAM modules into different slots - nothing changed. (first tried Kingston modules: 2 modules in slots A2 and B2, 1 module in A2, then bought Silicon Power module, tried: 1 module in A1, A2, B1 and B2) - nothing changed,
4. Tried to disconnect all Ram modules the built-in speaker starts beeping,
4. Tried removing PCIe VGA and connecting the HDMI cable to the output on the MB - nothing changed (this is logically meaningless, since the CPU does not support graphics),
5. Tried connecting with different HDMI cables (tested, working) - nothing changed,
6. Tried connecting to another monitor (tested, working) - nothing changed,
7. Cleared CMOS - nothing changed.

Please tell me what the problem could be?
What else should I try/test?

Here are the most likely causes and what I’d try next:

1. RAM compatibility or memory training failure
 Even though your RAM is on ASUS QVL (or confirmed by PCPartPicker), DDR5 can be picky. The fact that the system only beeps when RAM is removed suggests that it's attempting but failing to train the memory.

 Try just one stick of RAM in slot A2 (preferred single-DIMM slot).
  Wait 5+ minutes after powering on — DDR5 systems sometimes take a long time on first boot to complete memory training.
  If no luck, try the other stick, or use slot B2 instead.

2. BIOS version
 Even though your CPU is supported, it’s possible the board has an older BIOS that’s not fully stable with newer DDR5 kits.

Try checking for a BIOS update via USB BIOS Flashback (your board supports this feature).
 No CPU or RAM needed for this method — just a formatted USB stick and the renamed BIOS file.

3. Other quick checks
 - Double-check 8-pin CPU power cable is connected.
 - Try reseating the CPU — bent pins or uneven pressure from cooler can cause issues.
 - Try booting without GPU and confirm the board doesn’t output video (as expected — just a sanity check).

The fast blinking Power LED, like in my case: Q-LED Core means "No DRAM Detected"
(as stated in the MB manual).
I tried memory training (for 10 min) - nothing changed,
I tried swapping modules earlier (besides, I returned 2 Kingston modules to the seller, and now I only have 1 Silicone Power module)
My MB doesn't have a BIOS Flashback function (or a Flash BIOS button), there is only an ASUS EZ Flash (like almost all ASUS MBs), and it can only be used with a monitor.
I did all the other tests earlier - no result.
I read different information and descriptions of similar problems on the Internet, and I think you are right - MB definitely needs to update the BIOS firmware. Now I'm thinking how to do this (maybe I'll be able to find an old compatible DDR5 module somewhere).

Try an older dummy processor and some random ddr5 ram. Try asking a friend if he has a spare so u can borrow from him/her

I think I'll buy CPU Intel G6900 (sales since 11.2021) & if the VGA goes bad, I can use this CPU if necessary. I found that MB sales since 01.2022 & I found that many people rent out this CPU specifically for flashing BIOS.

But with RAM it is much more complicated: earlier ASUS published compatibility tables in PDF every year (as new CPUs and RAM modules, and accordingly BIOS versions, were released), and now on the ASUS website there is an online table with all updates without separation by date.

Do that if nothing works then RMA

Looks like I found what the problem was: I was about to go to the seller, decided to inspect the MB again with a digital microscope, and saw that 2 contacts in the middle of the socket were bent

I bought MSI MB & I'll try to fix contacts later (when I was younger I worked as an IT-engineer (1986-2007) and now my head works well, but my hands started working worse, and my eyesight got worse and now I don't do everything as quickly) & leave ASUS for testing or fileserver.

Oh sorry, I hope you will actually be able to fix it. Just be careful and use a magnifying glass, some good lighting and be as precise as you can. Btw they don't need to be 100% correct just so they make contact with the circle pin and don't touch any other pins so it doesnt cause shorts. Good luck and I wish you the best also update us later

Try and post the results here. Try as precise as you can be. My LGA775 socket got a bent pin, but was able to straighten it out. I used a small toothpick and a tini plier type thing do straighten it almost fully
