Hello, I've got my new MB ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME and CPU Intel Core i7-5930K.

My current PC set-up:

CPU: Intel Core i7-950 3.07GHz (8)
MoBo: GIGABYTE X58A-UD3R
RAM: 2x gigabyte gbb36x (12GB)

With SLI GeForce GTX 770 4GB GIGABYTE

OS: Win7

Few years ago I have upgraded my computer, but it was assemble by some COMPUTER company, but it took one month to get my computer back, so I want to do it by my self now.

So I want to ask if I should reinstall OS (or do some other steps) before installing new MB and CPU?

(I have already put the GPUs and some HDDs in by my self)

I would be happy for any tips! :)

Start with a fresh windows install to prevent any driver/chipset conflicts so that would be my biggest recommendation. You want to do the swap then the OS install.Other than that it should be a straight forward swap with the new motherboard and CPU. If you have never done this before please BE VERY careful when handling and installing the CPU. You don't want to bend any pins in the CPU socket. Just follow the manuals provided and you should be just fine. It's actually a lot easier than some may think.

Just be patient and take all the time you need. If you get frustrated go grab a soda or watch a movie and relax.

Then after everything is installed and working you can tweak your BIOS settings to make sure all ram timings etc are what...
