Hi,

My ASUS V9980 arrived today, and I'm already having issues getting things working.

System:

XP2800 processor
1024 Corsair RAM
MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR mobo
Soundblaster Audigy Platinum
Belkin Firewire card
Win XP Home
Seagate 30gig HD

I was running using the Nforce 2 onboard graphics until I got a graphics card, and everything was fine.

When trying to install the ASUS drivers using the autosetup utility, I get a message "Cannot find ASUS display card".

Windows seems to detect the device fine.

I installed the correct device manually, and Windows seems to like it.

However, whenever I try and start a game, my system crashes, either hanging or restarting.

Downloading the latest ASUS drivers doesn't help, since I get the same "can't detect card" message when I try to install them.

Can anyone help me? It's driving me insane...

i'd use the reference ones, asus has crappy drivers 😛

Not familiar with your mobo, but did you(or do you need to)disable onboard graphics in the BIOS? Do you need to select AGP as primary graphic adapter also in BIOS?

I don't have onbaord graphics so I'm just guessing here
