So I just overclocked my intel i5 4670k for the first time and I was wondering if some of my readings are normal. (I'm using the asus z87 pro motherboard and a h100i cooler). I just overclocked my cpu to 4.2GHz (That's all I need right now) and I have it running on 1.250 volts right now. When idle I the core clock goes down to 800Mhz and the temps are anywhere from 33 degrees celsius to 37 degrees. When I run prime95, clock goes up to about 4200MHz, occasionally going down 10 - 25 MHz. Temps are about 62 - 70 degrees celsius. After about 10 minutes the program freezes and I lose all response in my computer. What can I do to prevent this? I don't have a large power supply (Corsair 650TX) and I'm not sure If I should go up to 1.300 volts or what. Also, at these temperatures and voltages will the significantly cut the life of my processor (I'd like it for at least 3 to 4 more years)
