So i am trying to build my first PC, and I have some ideas but I was wondering what you guys think about it. I was going for a gaming (not hardcore gaming, just games like League of Legends) and just everyday school use. My budget is around 650 CAD.

Link to build: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/mk8b3F

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Mobo: MSI - B350M GAMING PRO Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard
RAM: PNY - Anarchy 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
HDD: Seagate - BarraCuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1050 2GB D5 Video Card
PSU: EVGA - 450W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

There was no price for the RAM in your link. Once I added the cheapest available 16GB option it jumped to over $700 CDN.

This build will get you to under $650.

CPU: Overclocking gets you the most for your money. In which case buy the Ryzen 3 1200. Once overclocked it is the exact same CPU as the 1300x. Overclocking is easy. A moderate overclock is perfectly safe. The default heatsink won't let you get to nuts anyways. It should easily handle 1300x settings as they are the same chip with different factory clock rates.

Motherboard: The MSI B350 PC Mate is a better all around motherboard. Including overclocking options.

RAM: You don't need 16GB right now. You can always add more later. 16GB blows apart your budget for no good...
Here is an alternate suggestion, not sure if it fits your needs but here is the reasoning. If you are only going to be doing light gaming then you could downgrade the GPU and RAM so that you can buy an SSD for programs and OS. This will dramatically improve boot times and program access times.

The GT 1030 has about the same processing power as the GTX 650 Ti and slightly less than the RX 550. This is plenty of power for a game like League of Legends.

Also, you should be able get by with 8GB of RAM unless you are using some non-gaming program that has high memory usage. I also upped the speed, Ryzen likes faster RAM.

Last, I substituted the mobo for a 4-slot board with good reviews.

PSU: The Corsair CX (2017) 450w has a much higher build quality.

Case: DIYPC makes cheap cases with decent airflow.

GPU: Their wasn't enough left in the budget to add an SSD. I figured you may as well get the best GPU you can. You never know what game will come out which you will want to play. This way you will be better prepared.

Thank you guys for the feedback, I wasn't sure at first whether I should get a 16 GB or 8 GB ram, as I didn't know which would be suitable for my situation. I probably won't be getting the SSD and a HDD because I wanted to also have a good GPU for games I might pick up in the future. I will probably change my mobo too, just because both of you thought that this one wasn't good. will make some changes and post back soon.
