New AT&T UVerse network, need help setting up wireless for small RV Park

AT&T Tech said modem Model NVG510 (1/12/2015) is also a router? he gave me a Netgear WN3000RP-2A1NAS to boost signal to park!? Looking for suggestions on reasonably priced equipment and set up for wireless for 16 site RV park with line of site from office to park. Unfortunate issue is only able to get 3.6 megs due to distance of wire ( but better than the satellite system was having to use).

Yeah I'd get a couple of the Ubiquiti outdoor ap's and set them up.

That little range extender he gave you is made for indoors.

That depends on if you want to provide a nice stable connection for your guests, or an iffy one. The devices you have are for a single home, not a shared setup like you sound like you need.

connected to your router would work great. It's only $75 and made for outdoor use.

How far from where your router is to the center area of the RV park, if you had to string up an ethernet cable?
If it's not that far to the RV Park, the device above could just be outside the office on a pole. Some height would give it more coverage.

If it's that far, you can't use an ethernet cable, there's a max distance of 300ft that they can be used for.

You'll need to get one of the bridge solutions, and put a router on the far end.

It sounds like you need more than one access point. The satisfaction customers will have with any wifi system is based on the ability of the wifi to "hear" their devices more so than the ability to just see the SSID on a device. So the design of the system is contingent on the level of service you want to offer. If you want them to be able to use Netflix while inside an Airstream camper, you will need more access points than if you want it mostly for outdoor web surfing. A little thought into the desired service level and how you want to advertise your park will go a long way in getting the good design to work from.

As a hotel and RV customer, few things leave a bad impression like lousy wifi in my room or camping spot when the marketing had promised wifi.
