Reason for not running? They don't say "Technology: DirectX 9.0" anymore!!!

See for yourself, compare it to 97/9800 series demo.

You serious?! Didn't all the past demos work on all the Radeon series of
cards? If this is true, then this will be disappointing. I'm downloading
them now at the same time. Got another 15 minutes or so. I'll report back
what happens.

I'm prety shure that there is a special code that prvent it to works
because all of the demo work fine bur this one.

even the nvidia demo works on ny 9800pro so screw ati...
there are just scare to lower their selling because the performance of
their x800 is only a notch over the xt...

How about the new compression? Their ruby demo uses the new
compression method..and since the 9800 Pro doesn't has that in its
hardware.....

It won't run!

Since it says right at the top of the ATI page where you DL the Ruby demo
that it will only run on the X800, I took that as a clue that it wouldn't
run on my 9800Pro. JLC
