Hi folks,
Upgrading working pc (x570 based mb) with new psu to support upgraded rtx gpu.
Machine doesnt book (just mb rgb, cpu fans spin briefly and stop, no errors or post).
New gpu connected with 12vhpr cable.
Re-installed old gpu (gtx1080) with new psu also = no boot. Re-installing old psu / gpu = boot as normal (to confirm no damage etc). Using new atx and cpu cable (new cpu cable also boot with old psu so rules that out).
Have tested output of new psu with multimeters and all socket volt are correct which makes this an interesting one!
I shoud have checked mobo error lights, but dont recall seeing any…
Leaning towards dodgy psu although multi-meter suggests ok….
I also havent updated bios but that should shouldnt hinder boot with new psu.
New psu is hela 1200r (atx3).
