The specs of this computer is
GPU - RTX 3060 ti
CPU - I7-11700kf
1tb SSD
16 GB RAM - single channel

The performance when in games is very poor like 40-60 fps on high settings and 60-70 on medium and low, this is tested on games like Rust, Warzone and Escape from Tarkov.
I have even been playing Game Dev Tycoon which has VERY VERY basic graphics and the fps drops to 20.. i dont udnerstand.

i have upgraded the BIOS and all other drivers are updated. Does anyone know how to help?

Solution
You know.. when you buy a pre built you would expect to be able to turn it on and get straight into games, expecially at that price.
you might think that but doing any amount of research into it first you would see that a large portion of them come with all types of stupid problems that are not addressed by the builders or distributors.

there are large amount of threads started here alone every day with members having "No Display" issues and all sorts of DOA components in their brand new pre-builts.

the main argument against pre-built systems is that they are a pain to hardware troubleshoot due to issue with voiding warranty.
and a pain to RMA due to large shipping fees and losing your entire system for weeks at a time.

Moving up to dual channel ram should give you a bump.

I feel like it wouldnt do THAT much, yes it would help but the computer has really poor performance i didnt think that duel channel was that important.

Also the RAM is very expensive, already paid ALOT for this computer.

my old 1070 build has much better performance

Bumping perf is sometimes done in little chunks.
A tweak here/a part there....etc.
Your call what you want to do.

Ram...64 bucks.

Alienware is so terrible it's just a waste of components. If I were you I´d either return or sell it to some clueless soul

before returning the system i would first try a fresh wipe of drives and reinstall of the OS:
