New BIOS, LAN Realtek Ethernet Issues

Hi guys,

so I recently changed my BIOS chip because of a problem I was having with my peripherals, I installed the new BIOS fine; however my LAN isn't working I am getting the Error Code 10.

My motherboard is an Asus M5A78-l/USB3 with my new BIOS installed with the latest drivers.

This is the first line in Hardware ID's
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV8168&SUBSYS_85051043&REV_09

I had that problem on a gigabyte board. Had to disable fast boot. Not sure if you have that option however.

I have noticed that my boot is faster and my mouse & keyboard doesn't receive power until a little bit later

Well do you have that option?

there is an option in the BIOS called "Quick Boot" should I disable that? and try it

Are you sure you have the right drivers? What os bit and mainboard?

yeah the newest drivers, Windows 7 64Bit and motherboard Asus M5a78l-m/usb 3

you have the latest realtek ones correct?

yeah the latest ones, ive just reflashed bios to earlier version and reset cmos.

no luck
