Hello tom's hardware community. Im building a pc for a friend and i've decided to go with these parts:

CPU: Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock B85M Pro4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 270X 2GB DirectCU II Video Card
Case: BitFenix Neos Black ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer

Where i live it costs €700 exacly, which is his budget.(rip off, i know but this is how it is here...)

Are there any compatibility issues/bios updates needed in order for everything to work?

Thanks in advance. :)

Honestly I think an i3 4130 is fine, and I'd go for the cheapest H81 motherboard that is made by a reliable company, for RAM I'd go with corsair vengeance because they're more reliable. IMO an optical drive is a pointless asset. If you're buying it to install the OS, just get a usb drive or go on youtube to look up how to do it

Am i going to need a supported cpu of the current bios to update it,to get the 4150 working on it?

Can i take the usb drive back to its original form after making it a bootable drive, making it a storage drive again?

No i wanted to know if there was another way.Anyway, thanks for the help.I could ask the shop that im buying the parts from to do that for me,maybe.

No dude, you will only access the BIOS and only able to update it when you've built your computer, it isn't that hard to update your BIOS anyway, just go on youtube
