hey guys! im going to look for a budget gpu and probably buy one this coming saturday. my pc specs are:
phenom ii x2 555be
4gb kingston ram 1333mhz
msi 880gms-e35 fx
integrated hd4250
500gb seagate hdd
generic 500w psu

my question is im looking at the sapphire r7-250, and will be compatible with my system with no bottleneck issues? my budget for the gpu is $100 or less. any other gpus you guys can suggest? need your inputs on this, thank you!

Solution
Yes if your PSU is really missing the 6 pin PCI-E connector which I assumed beforehand, then R7 250 will be your best bet in your price range. Go with it.

Happy gaming and happy computing. Cheers.
I beg to differ rolli, not all modern to be very specific cheap/crap PSU's have PCI-E connectors, but maybe some has. So I think it will be better to know from OP actually what he has.

And I am not a big fan of 6 pin adapter either for a generic PSU, cause I am not sure of the wattage and amperage its actually providing. It could harm the entire PC.

Most card manufacturers include an adapter with their cards for this specific reason. As I posted above the system load is less than a 200watts in that review with the HD7770 it would be a really bad 500watt PSU if it did not have 20amps (240watts) available for the +12 volts.

the r7-250 doesnt need a 6 pin connector right, it'll work by just installing it on the mobo.

i'll go with the sapphire r7-250 then. any way this pc is mainly used for LoL and ragnarok most of the time. ill be installing bf3/4 and blackflag next week and hopefully i'll get decent fps from the r7-250.

Yes I know that very well, that's why I recommended you the R7 250 on my first post with HD 7750, you may overlooked it.

I think HD 7750 or 7770 will perform better then R7 250. And for BF4 and others don't expect a decent FPS.

ill probably be looking at those 2gpus as well however the prices of those 2 gpus here in the philippines is still quite expensive, the r7-250 sells for 4,500 pesos which is equals to $100 and 7770/7750 costs around 6000 to 7000 pesos. so price is really a big factor.

my generic psu has no 6 pin pci e connector so i think im better off with the r7-250.
